REMOVAL & STORAGE
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The contractor is not a common carrier and may refuse to move or store any goods without being obliged to give any reason for such refusal. The customer shall forthwith declare by notation on this contract if any cargo is by nature flamitory to explosive.
All goods are carried and/or stored at the owner’s sole risk. The contractor accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage for any reason whatsoever. The customer acknowledges that the contractor has recommended that the customer arrange full comprehensive insurance directly from the customers preferred insurer.
All charges for services will be paid in cash, cheque or credit card (1.5% fee) at the discretion of the contractor shall have a general lien over all part if the goods carried or stored in lieu of unpaid charges in the case of payment not being made upon completion of the service. The customer shall also be liable to interest at the rate of 1.4% per month on any and all overdue monies from the date of service, and also for any extra costs incurred in the recovery of overdue monies.
4. HOURLY RATES
All hourly rates are charged from the time left the depot to the time returned to the depot. A minimum of 2 hours charge applies and thereafter charges are in quarter hour lots.
5. ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Surcharges in addition to all other charges apply to the supply and delivery of any packaging materials, and apply to road, bridge or ferry tolls at the amount charged and apply for extra heavy articles such as pianos, slate pool tables etc and apply for any other additional costs incurred by the contractor.
Quoted and/or estimated prices do not include delay or inability to complete work caused by additional work to that expressed in the said estimate or quote, or the situation of the customer with regard to entry, exit or approach, stairs, size of doors, windows, or other entry with respect to the size of the goods and so on. Such delays will incur an additional charge.
